Accessible Places and Activities Around the Gold Coast

Changing Places toilets, beach wheelchairs, quiet and sensory sessions, inclusive sport, dance and riding, parent groups and Sunflower friendly venues across the Gold Coast and Tweed, all on one map. Every place links back to where we found it, so you can check before you head out.

Good to Know Before You Go

Changing Places toilets have a height adjustable adult change table and a ceiling hoist. Bring your own four-loop sling. Many open with a Master Locksmiths Access Key (MLAK), and the City of Gold Coast gives free keys to eligible residents. Liberty Swings use the same key.

The Sunflower lanyard is a quiet way to let staff know someone may need a bit more time or support. The places marked here are on the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower map. We're on it too.

Places come from council and government lists, and activities from the groups that run them. We only list activities run for disabled or neurodivergent people, not places that are simply open to everyone. Every Gold Coast library also lends from a learning and development collection, sensory items included.

Times, keys and equipment change, and most groups only meet in school terms, so check the linked source, or call ahead, before a big trip. For every public toilet in Australia, including standard accessible ones, the National Public Toilet Map has the lot.
